Art and culture are two essential elements of any society, and are means by which people shape their identity, their environments, and imagine society's collective future. Art philanthropy is a key contributor that stimulates active growth in the creative field, and allows individuals and collectives to positively impact the cultural development of any society.

In India where government funds are limited, private and corporate support for the arts is crucial for strengthening the role of the visual arts in society. Contemporary art in India is at its most dynamic phase today with artists and creative practitioners looking for opportunities to extend their creativity towards building better communities, more engaging spaces and stronger partnerships. Keeping this in mind we invite corporations, organizations and individuals to sponsor FICA's programs.

  2. FICA allows philanthropists reach out to a wider community of artists and researchers who are deserving, highly talented and are the best in the field.

  3. FICA makes sure that the donations and sponsorships are utilized responsibly, for a social cause, without compromising on the quality of the projects.

PATRONS PROGRAMME

The FICA Patrons Programme was established in 2016 to the Foundationa’s work. It brings together a community of individuals who share an interest in and commitment to contemporary art and its wider ecosystem. Through the year, Patrons are offered opportunities to engage more closely with artists, curators, galleries, museums and cultural practitioners through studio visits, exhibitions, talks, walkthroughs, travel programmes and other special engagements. The programme is also intended to foster a sense of community among its members, creating opportunities to exchange ideas, discover new practices and participate meaningfully in the cultural life of the city and beyond.

At its heart, the FICA Patrons Programme is a way for individuals to connect more deeply with FICA’s work while contributing to the organisation’s continued efforts to support the people, ideas and practices shaping contemporary art in India.
