The FICA and Outset’s fundraiser brings together philanthropists, art collectors, connoisseurs and corporate sponsors, to raise funds for the arts in India. The proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards the support and setting up on grants, fellowships and projects for artists, students, and the arts community.
The Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art (FICA) aims to broaden the audience for contemporary Indian art, enhance opportunities for artists, and establish a continuous dialogue between the arts and the public through education and active participation in public art projects and funding. Since its inception in 2007 FICA has come to be recognised for the quality and commitment in its efforts to support the arts, build platforms for exchange, and reach out to a larger community of art practitioners and enthusiasts through socially committed projects and educational outreach.
Outset Contemporary Art Fund was established in 2003 in UK as a philanthropic organization dedicated to supporting new art. This fund has successfully raised over a million pounds and donated over hundred pieces of exceptional art to the Tate Museum and public spaces across the globe. Outset India was launched in 2011 by Feroze Gujral - Founder and Director, Outset India. It aims to create a unique platform of philanthropic private funding for new art in public space. With Outset’s global connect with art enthusiasts, collectors, museums, curators and artists, the fund aims at building India’s pride
