Art and culture are two essential elements of any society, and are means by which people shape their identity, their environments, and imagine society's collective future. Art philanthropy is a key contributor that stimulates active growth in the creative field, and allows individuals and collectives to positively impact the cultural development of any society.

In India where government funds are limited, private and corporate support for the arts is crucial for strengthening the role of the visual arts in society. Contemporary art in India is at its most dynamic phase today with artists and creative practitioners looking for opportunities to extend their creativity towards building better communities, more engaging spaces and stronger partnerships. Keeping this in mind we invite corporations, organizations and individuals to sponsor FICA's programs.

  1. FICA helps socially responsible individuals or corporates identify and understand the projects best suited to their philanthropic needs before extending their suppor

  2. FICA allows philanthropists reach out to a wider community of artists and researchers who are deserving, highly talented and are the best in the field.

  3. FICA makes sure that the donations and sponsorships are utilized responsibly, for a social cause, without compromising on the quality of the projects.

All donations to The Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art are eligible exemption under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
