Learning with Art is a long term project initiated at Deepalaya School, Kalkaji Extension, New Delhi. It seeks to use art resources and creative teaching methods in approaching education at the middle school level. It’s specifically aimed at children from disadvantaged backgrounds and first generation learners to expand their field of engagement beyond the school curriculum. The project aims to develop a transformative pedagogy using art, enhance the experience of creative learning by emphasizing on participation and process rather than on individual output. It also brings artists and other creative professionals to directly engage with the students through workshop style modules.

It is currently structured as the FICA Club with members from 7th and 8th standards, under the guidance of project coordinator Sreejata Roy.
