Recipient of FICA INLAKS Goldsmiths Scholarship 2015-16
The Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art (FICA) presents the third edition of Homepage, the exhibition that brings together the various artists and researchers supported by FICA’s award and grant programmes. Homepage 2017 will include the solo exhibition of the FICA Emerging Artist Award 2015 recipient Shailesh B R with a show titled तर्क | Tarka, and project displays by the collective Gram Art Project and Karthik K G who received FICA Public Art Grant 2015 and the FICA Inlaks Goldsmiths Scholarship 2015-16 respectively. Homepage is a marathon event of exhibitions and public programming with the main focus on making visible the year-long work that happens at FICA under its various grant programmes and collaborative platforms.
To explore further the processes of the grantees, there will also be talks and presentations accompanying the displays with invited interlocutors. More sustained discussion forums, performances and workshops will be generated around Gram Art Project on the pressing issues of agrarian crises and collectivism. FICA will also continue its work with Art Educator’s Forum, holding a workshop and presentations to generate a deeper understanding of art education for children and developing a set of resources and modules that can be shared and developed further by all.
We are grateful for the support extended towards Homepage 2017 by FICA Patrons Priya and Gaurav Goel.
We thank the Vadehra Art Gallery for hosting the exhibition platform.
