Sreejata Roy, the coordinator of the FICA Club, organized a series of sessions with Rahul Ray, a performance and theater artist, on acting, mime, movement and sound. The FICA Club members were experimenting with their own bodies and learning to mime, an art form that is primarily silent, to explore the theme of sound in everyday life. This challenged the students to think out of the box, and engage with the pure form of visual to express their ideas and stories.
Rahul Ray, a student of National School of Drama, in these sessions taught the children some basic principles of mime such as exaggeration and some common tropes uses in mime.
