I LOVE INDIAN ART - PART 1

An art appreciation and practical art course for your kids this summer!

Dates: 11 - 16 June, 2012 (6 sessions) |  2.30 pm - 4 pm
Venue: FICA Reading Room, D-42 Defence Colony, New Delhi

For children aged 7 to 11 years

‘I Love Indian Art’ is a fun and fully interactive programme to uncover highlights of Indian modern art. It gives your child newfound confidence to talk about their artistic heritage,  and builds core historical and cultural knowledge and developmental skills. Through carefully structured sessions we find out about the lives of incredible artists and the ideas they communicate, and how we can learn all about the world around us through art. They will also learn new ways of art making and explore how to creatively express themselves through art. The highlight of the course is the final day guided tour to an art gallery.

The program is designed around Flow’s international methodology for boosting language - creativity - cognition - observation - group working - presentation skills - and of course knowledge!

The session is 1.5 hours of structured activity:

  • Playing group games (often related to vocabulary and confidence-building) learning about an artist and looking at their work, contextualized in their life and times
  • Free creative activity using different art techniques
  • Reflection and response to artworks, presentation and evaluation

Fees
Each course is Rs. 3,900/- per child all inclusive. All art materials will be provided at the venue. The children will be awarded with art appreciation certificates at the end of the course.
