Aastha Chauhan specialized in sculpture both for her B.F.A, completed at the Government College of Art in Chandigarh, and her M.F.A. at New Delhi College of Art. She works with socially engaged art projects. She has worked in the neighborhood of Khirkee for the past decade; initially as the leader of the Community Arts program at the KHOJ studios located in Khirkee and later as an independent practitioner. She is also interested in micro broadcasting and works closely with 90.4MHz Henvalvani Community Radio.

She shared some of her initial engagements in the neighborhood of Khirkee Extension, the relationships that grew out of these engagements and over time the collaborations that they facilitated.
